Beatrix Blaise is an emerging filmmaker based in London. Her impetus lies in the balance between real vs virtual fantasy and the symmetry of organic vs inorganic. Each film has its own world where the atmospheres and landscapes have been built upon characters’ nuances. Locations become garish and multi layered. The people within them surreal and fictional. They are isolated but connected. Their veins run like wires.

Blaise is also a keen advocate for women’s rights and supports them with her work as Editor of Girls In Film. Girls in Film represents, champions and connects the new generation of female-identified creatives in the film industry. There are three structures to GiF: the online platform where they feature new work by female filmmakers, production where they work with brands, filmmakers, media and alike to create innovative film content and events ranging from screenings to workshops around the world. @

In synchronicity with her films Blaise comes from a background of Art, which she studied at UAL, this leads her into photography, performance and sculpture. She is now in pre-production for self written short films with a taste of noir.

Blaise’s music videos have been featured on Dazed, Nowness, Promo News, Noisey, Anotherman, DIY, Clash, NME, Lineofbestfit, Giglist and Gorillavsbear.
